From the artist: "This is "Twinkle", a barn owl from O'Reilly's. I painted her to watch over my niece and bring her sweet dreams. Owls, and in particular the majestic barn owls, always give me a sense of quiet watchful wisdom and seem to be guardians of the night. I was lucky enough to meet ‘Twinkle’ at a birds of prey show at O’Reillys and this gave me a chance to observe her closely. She seemed like a perfect spirit guardian for my niece’s bedroom, and her striking colouration (whites, siennas and browns) complement the soft twilight colours of the background which give this piece a mystical, spiritual feel".
